Let's elect the blind woman!

Bobby Ehrlich of Maryland just announced that his running mate for lt.gov. is a blind Mormon. Awesome. For the first time in my life, I might volunteer for a campaign. Way to activate the base Mr. Ehrlich. And to think I was going to save my vote for the tubby opponent of Chris Cannon in Utah. I'm going to register to vote here in Maryland, Billy Grayson, just like you want me to but this free thinker is voting for the blind woman and the man with terrible hair i.e the Establishment (if you read conspiracy columnists or talk to John Birchers you'll know the Establishment when you see it and when you see it it's probably going to be someone who can't see or can't figure out how to do their hair). Anywho, this should be fun. Ehrlich is running against Martin O'Malley. Germans v. Irish Part II: Maryland. New York was just the warm-up...if you don't get that, neither do I, but I think it makes half sense if you think about immigration. That's all I'll give you.

Issue 2 that I conviently forgot. Shearwater's new album is really good and sounds nothing like Jeff Buckley, stupid ol' allmusic. Sometimes they get writers to review albums that have no reference to the artist's corpus and so they write inane reviews. Palo Santo is a great album, even though Jonathan Meiburg did not edit Red Sea Black Sea like I asked him to. Seriously, I did! But, alas!. Still, the word sounds like "bucket" so I'm fine with believing that it "was a bucket disaster". Bucket disasters are very common, especially when you are trying to turn your transmittors off. I haven't checked to see if Will Sheff had anything to do with this album. I like Will. He writes great music. Okkervil River deserves their own post some other day. Check out Shearwater, loyal readers (that would be ChiTown Inferno and Jack and my wife. If anyone else is reading, I haven't heard about them). They're the next big thing in the cult scene of the underground scene of the underground.

Thanks for the Shearwater tip. I was hoping you would scout it out and let me know.

What do you think of Russ Feingold: hero or villian?

Hope all's well with the new arrival.
