A praiseworthy cover of Muse's Muscle Museum

I can't think of a single person who reads this blog that would be interested in this, but Coverville featured a really awesome cover of Muse's Muscle Museum. This must be acknowledged. If you haven't heard the original, it's not as cool. So listen to the original and then listen to this cover.

It's epidode 252 at this website: http://www.coverville.com/archives/2006/10/

Go listen. It should be fun.

Tell me you've heard of/listened to the Langley Schools Music Project.

Get your hands on that stuff. Check it out from the library or something. It makes the Scala kids sound like prep-school sissies and choir geeks. The Langley stuff is the real deal.

That link didn't work out. Google "Langley Schools Music Project". Tonight.

Actually, I found out that the Scala Choir is really a bunch of homely Belgian girls not another crazy English boy choir. I was really hoping that the awesome piano playing for Muscle Museum was their Northern English music teacher that learned how to play during the mine strike in Northumbria. Those Western Canadian kids have passion! Wow! It's raw. It's like kid emo.

The best cut so far by a wide margin is the positively tribal Saturday Night. I don't know who's on the drums or why the canucklings are in such a frenzy, but it's a great performance.
