I'm recommending one chapter of one church book

I'll be honest, I typically do not read LDS books outside of the scriptures. However, at my in-laws I picked up Pure Religion which chronicles the story of church welfare and as I am obsessed with welfare any more, I decided to give it a try. I've tried to read it before, and once again I got bogged down by detail after detail regarding onions and tomatoes and such. Oy vey. Strangely, the book leaves Welfare Principles and Prophetic Commentary on Welfare to the end of the book, which are the best chapters. The Prophetic Commentary is awesome. This should be published as a pamphlet and handed out to all members. Wow, I almost got on my soapbox to make a lot of generalizations about people in a patronizing and arrogant way. Good thing I stopped. Stat.
