Responding to the comments in a recent post

I like my long comments to be posts. Makes me feel neat

A. I was at a club. One could consider that "clubbing".
B. Different venues demand different rules of concert etiquette. I would find it inappropriate for someone to sing along with an opera singer. I do not find it inappropriate for someone who is singing the modern equivalent of peasant music. This is music for the masses. Is their artistry? Sure. Is it "High Art"? No. For those bands that pretend it is, please choose a more appropriate venue where people will clap on cue.
C. Have you sat in the faculty section during BYU games? Would you want to be friends with these game-day crazies? The Indieans at the concert seemed quite literate and intelligent. Yes, there are certain concerts I would not go to because of the crowd. On the other hand, using Charles' logic, I would also have to rule out attending any movie in Maryland, visiting any mall in Maryland, and standing in the middle of UMD because that would put me in contact with those of lesser moral fiber (as defined by the Chuckster).
D) BJ, you most certainly do not just sing to women in the privacy of your own car. I remember one time at Nelson you got a little too caught up in listening to Shania Twain with the FHE girls and joined them in "Man, I Feel Like a Woman!"
E) Ade, I totally agree. We must be related or something

While it is certainly true, that I do not ONLY sing in the privacy of my own car, it is where most of my singing happens. And I think we all did things back in Nelson apartments that when with different company, and in different circumstances we would never do. What can I say? You, Charles, Arlie, and everyone else in that apartment knew how to bring out sides of me that I didn't know existed! I have to say though, now-a-days, my singing to "Man, I feel like a woman" is pretty much restricted to my own car. But that is partially because it is private, and partially because it is where I listen to music. There are still a few people around that I'm not shy of singing in front of, but they are few. Sometimes I really wish I could go back and watch those Nelson days again... I think I would die from laughter.

I like my logic. Maybe you SHOULDN'T go to a movie in Maryland, the mall in Maryland, or even work in Maryland. Lock yourself up Doug, and your family. Stay in your apartment until the second coming. You can order everything off the internet including a truckload of dirt so you can fill one room and plant a garden to give you something to do. You could have your ward meet at your place.

The BYU game yesterday was good. Not great. But good. I just hope UCLA doesn't intimidate us and crush us like they did Standford.

Who on earth was BJ singing "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" with? I was in your FHE group for what seemed like ages, and I don't remember that... It must have been a different group of girls!
