So, Albert Goresky won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Those lines represent the amount of time it took me to think of the number of wars that Al has ended or prevented.
Being a green Cassandra is publishing peace? Yes, we all know that the Swedes love Al Gore. Yes, we all know that they would rather have Al Gore be president (but then we would have missed the Hairy/Portly Al depression era). Give him the Nobel Prize for Environmentalism. But the Peace Prize? Talk about cheapening the Peace Prize. Might as well give it to Bono next.
If there really isn't any one standout candidate, shouldn't it default to a religious leader like the Pope or the Dali Lama? Seems easy enough. Look at the list of past winners http://www.nobelprizes.com/nobel/peace/peace.html and tell me if Albert Arnold Gore deserves the prize based on his achievements. (It is interesting to see that Yasser Arafat got it in 1993...I'm sure the committee rues that choice.)
