The Burghers of Cleveland

I'm not sure how long it took Rodin to sculpt the Burghers of Calais but I'm sure it took a lot longer than it took to take this beautiful photograph of triumph and disbelief at the end of game 5 of the Wizards-Cavaliers. For those of you who weren't paying attention, LeBron James (23) has just missed what would have been a game-winning layup after attempting to jump over Darius Songaila (9). So, check it out. Caron Butler (3) is showing sheer exuberance after realizing there would be no whistle and that they've won the game. James is pleading to the ref to call the foul. Ilgauskas (11) is expressing disbelief but has a questioning but fatalistic look about him. Songaila is still dazed and confused after being sat on by James. And Joe Smith (32) is cursing the basketball gods for not allowing the shot to drop. Great photo. Oh, and for the budding sculptor out there, who wants to accurately depict LeBron's expression, I found this photo.
