Fun new reasons to loathe the Dodgers

The Padres have been absolutely imploding the last month. And, if it wasn't for the Dodgers completely tanking it against the Padres this month, then the NL West race would be between be the Giants and the Rockies. To wit: the padres are 4-17 against all other teams and 5-0 against the Dodgers. Earlier in the month, the Dodgers played the Padres and then the Giants. After getting swept by the Padres, here's something my brother sent:

“Dodgers manager Joe Torre fielded a lineup light on power and experience Sunday -- four of the eight position players have not homered in the big leagues -- but assured that the Giants will face the best possible lineup beginning Tuesday.”

So, congratulations to the Dodgers for finding new ways for me to find them loathsome. All this would be moot if the Giants could consistently score runs. After losing Torres to an appendectomy, run production has plummeted highlighting their startling lack of depth (and the most awful outfield made up of the reanimated corpses of Guillen, Burrell, and Rowand)
