So this is what it feels like to be a Democrat

I never really paid too much attention to politics over my lifeyears up until I was about 14. Needless to say, I've never felt the sting of defeat (except if you count Old Man Dole in '96). I'm in full on post-election blues, knowing my party was just snowed under with endless counts of corruption, ineptitude, and perversity. Everyone was dragged down and through the mud. I think it's time to toss Denny and Dick in the Potomac. What a disaster.

So, my little brother reports that all the kids are listening to Gnarls Barkley's Crazy. Wanting to be a kid, I listened to it. It sounds like my dad's music from the late 1970s. If all the kids play their music to their parents, their parents will all say, "Hey, this is great stuff" and want to buy it and Gnarls Barkley will never be mentioned again. For the record, my dad stayed up to watch Letterman because Jamoriquai was performing. It was a weird moment. He really liked Virtual Insanity.

The Editors sounds like Interpol. Weird. I like 'em. The last two tracks on Interpol's first were just great great great songs. He uses the word "icebox".

Don't knock the gnarls 'til you've tried it. Unbelievable cover of "Gone, Daddy, Gone" on that album. But I guess I'm just assuming you liked the Violent Femmes in the first place...
