Defeated by the Deaf

We were beaten by the deaf, 56-50. What a weird game. We only had four players, and I contributed 2 points. Another of our four players contributed zero points. Which means that the final 48 points were somehow distributed between the other two players. I would like to say that I helped on defense, but I think I did pretty badly there too. Not a stellar game. Not like the last game where I played like a wounded cur on defense. Whatever.

I thought the no-look passes by the deaf were especially impressive. Now, I know that when someone doesn't have one sense their other senses are supposedly heightened, but c'mon people, it's awfully impressive when someone's not using 2 out of the 3 relevent senses in making a pass. Unless he smelled his teammate behind him. Or maybe he wasn't one of the deaf ones and was just married to a deaf woman. It was all confusing. I thought about trying to communicate through hand signals to express sorrow for a foul, or anger over a double dribble or travel, but seeing how I don't know how to sign, I think it would have been offensive.

I don't know if I should be offended or laugh myself silly.
