Headphones

Dave jabbed in my earphones for my ipod with a pen during this insane week of me playing single dad. I think it was in retribution for shifting him between 4-5 families in three days. It was interesting because I tried to use them on the Metro going into DC today and it sounded like a bad cassette/radio/phone. No bass whatesoever. So, I had to buy some new headphones. At Target, they had a Bose display. I listened to the demo. Merciful heavens, those headphones made the Latina rap I was demoing the best thing I've heard all year. I'm not such an audiophile that I know all the different brands of headphones. But I have noticed that earphones are much worse than headphones that encompass the entire ear (not just placed on top of the ear). You just don't get the same intensity. And then there are the Bose. Geez. I think I first listened to the new Decemberists on some Bose and the sound just blew me away. So, of course, I didn't shell out the 120 for the Bose. I spent 20 on some Phillips that won an award three years ago for "Weirdest Design" or something like that. I'm still thinking I need to get real headphones for the computer or stereo. The earphones are fine for the ipod, but I could be having a better audio experience than I'm currently having.
