The PGC: Episode Four

It's been raining all morning and afternoon, but when I come out after work the sun is back out and the air is heavy. As I drive down Paint Branch, I notice the wall of clouds in front of me. No no no no, Parachutes will not do. Rainy Day was meant for this. An Eastern rainy day, just like the book about thunderstorms that I read when I was six. It never made much sense. It makes sense now. On Kenilworth, a cop passes by. I didn't notice he was there. As I peel right to make my way to Greenbelt, the cop that passed has stopped next to four other cop cars. The officers are talking to two EMTs who are standing outside of two ambulances. It can't be a car accident as there are no cars or debris. That the ambulances are not in a hurry indicate there's no one that needs to make it to the hospital. Seeing the lengthy discussion, it's a better bet they'll be making a trip to the morgue. My surmise: A dead body found in the trees. I'll check the Metro section in the post tomorrow to see if I'm right. Page B3, under the box "Prince George's Crime"..."An unidentified body was found on the 6800 block of Kenilworth Avenue. Police have no leads and are seeking information". On Greenbelt Road, Rainy Day reaches a climax and then ends. Perfect. I start it over. Gorgeous Prince George's.
