I opened the Washington Post the other day and read something I've been wanting to read for about 3-4 years now.
Giants Won't Bring Bonds Back in 2008
If that doesn't strike fear into the heart of every Yankees fan, I don't know what will. Then again, I would love to see Boston drop 20 million on Bonds just because they want to show that they are as repulsive as the Yankees. I was hoping for a Boston collapse this year, honestly and truely. And I wish the run the Rockies just went on to get into a one game playoff with San Diego would have been talked about more. The Mets were on page A1 of the Post for their collapse; the Rockies were barely mentioned, despite winning 13 of their last 14 games.
