Warning: I will be making reckless claims in this post.
Best new show of the season: Pushing Daisies
Best new show of the decade: Pushing Daisies
Best debut I have ever seen: Pushing Daisies (I haven't seen too many debuts)
I cannot remember the last time in which I have so thoroughly enjoyed a television show. Everything about it was genius. Visually stunning, superbly acted, ingenious writing. Everything was perfect. You have no idea how incredibly excited I am to be watching a Tim Burtonesque show every single week. The closest comparison I have to the feel of this show is Big Fish. The other comparison is the X-Files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space."
Best line: I wish I could give you an emotional heimlich to remove the glob of fear you are choking on.
Very important points of the show: Chuck (the girl) is a) not too weird and quirky and b) not too normal and lame. The show is not over the top, which gives it that deadpan charm which also allows it to be somewhat dark.

I watched Daisies tonight. It was good stuff. I'm not all-in but I'll definitely watch it again to see what happens next week.
